SPF Record

An SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record is a DNS entry that specifies which mail servers are authorized to send email on behalf of your domain. Proper SPF configuration is essential for email deliverability in partner communications.

An SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record is a type of DNS TXT record that identifies the mail servers authorized to send email on behalf of a domain. When a receiving mail server gets an email claiming to be from your domain, it checks the SPF record to verify that the sending server is authorized. Emails that fail SPF checks are more likely to be flagged as spam or rejected outright.

For partnership programs, SPF configuration matters because much of partner communication, including onboarding emails, commission notifications, program announcements, and co-marketing campaigns, is sent via email. If your SPF record is not properly configured for the email platforms you use, these critical communications may land in spam folders, undermining partner engagement and trust.

SPF records work alongside DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) to form a complete email authentication framework.

PartnerPulse provides guidance on configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for your custom domain to ensure that all partner-facing emails, from automated notifications to marketing campaigns, achieve high deliverability rates.
